After Care Instructions
Please follow these steps to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully and safely.
Step-by-Step Aftercare
1
Keep the bandage on for the next 5 days. If you notice blood inside the bandage, leave it on and do not remove it prematurely.2
On the 5th day, gently remove the bandage during your shower.3
After removing the bandage, wash your tattoo with mild, unscented soap like gold Dial or white Dove for sensitive skin. Pat dry gently, avoiding rubbing.4
Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or unscented Aveeno lotion to the tattoo for the next 5 days to keep it moisturized. Make sure all skin products are not expired.Sun Protection
- UV rays can fade and damage your healing skin. Keep your tattoo completely covered or out of direct sunlight during the healing period.
- Once fully healed, always apply sunscreen to protect your tattoo from fading.
Special Care for Hands & Feet
- If your tattoo is on your hands or feet, avoid manicures, pedicures, UV/LED light curing, acrylics, gels, or strong chemicals.
- These treatments can irritate the area and interfere with healing.
Avoid During Healing
- Saunas, jacuzzis, pools, beaches, and tanning beds for the healing period.
- Touching your tattoo with dirty hands.
- Picking, scratching, peeling, or rubbing scabs — let them fall off naturally.
- Heavy exercise that causes excessive sweating or friction on the tattooed area.
Additional Advice
- Treat your tattoo like an open wound, ensuring it heals properly and faster with good care.
